Ubercart Training Coming to Chicago in May

Ubercart continues to grow as a popular open source e-commerce solution for companies of all sizes. The Ubercart user base is expanding with its adoption by both veteran Drupal users and newcomers alike. Even with a final 2.0 release a couple weeks away, over 4,500 sites are already reporting their use of Ubercart on Drupal 6.

As we run into more and more of those users at conferences and camps, it is clear that many are eager to receive some solid, comprehensive Ubercart training. Commerce Guys, a leading Ubercart consulting company, has been planning just such an event.

Today we are happy to announce the upcoming Ubercart Hands On Training in Chicago, May 27-29th.

In three days, participants will build a community site supported by an online store. We've posted an ambitious preliminary outline for the training that introduces attendees to Ubercart itself and other Drupal modules that empower you to create a feature rich store without writing a single line of code. We'll explore every module included in the Ubercart package, so come prepared to learn!

Due to the nature of the training, prior experience configuring Drupal sites with contributed modules is recommended. Furthermore, you will greatly benefit from the unstructured conversations and Q & A time if you've attempted to use Ubercart in the past and have a list of questions prepared in advance. Absolute newcomers might find the wide range of topics covered a bit overwhelming, but we'll do our best to make the training accessible to everyone who attends.

We have limited the number of seats available for this event to 16 to maintain a high trainer to trainee ratio. Commerce Guys will be bringing three instructors, including the lead developer of Ubercart and two veteran store builders. We'll be joined by a fourth instructor from the prolific French Drupal shop AF83, bringing together years of Drupal and Ubercart experience, a healthy dose of business acumen, and one solid French accent.
